@Théo Zimmermann the part here about "funny maths" here sounds a bit like a gallicism to me: https://github.com/coq-community/hydra-battles

I think what is meant is more like "amusing math" or "entertaining math", right? Mathematiques amusantes and not mathematiques drôles (the latter seems the closest back-translation of "funny")

Probably yes.

OK, it seems I still have some Sprachgefuhl for French

Resorting to German? Well, I don't have a good translation for "Sprachgefühl" (with ü) to either French or English. I've never come across the dictionary translation of "feel for language"

yes, I know about the ü, I was just too lazy to add it. Swedish has an exact equivalent, that's why I like it, and nobody knows about the Swedish word generally

@Christian Doczkal what would be the German equivalent of "entertaining/funny math" that doesn't sound weird? "Lustige Mathematik" doesn't come out quite right to me...

Indeed, "lustige Mathematik" doesn't sound too great, but "unterhaltsame Mathematik" (entertaining) or maybe "amüsante Mathematik" (amusing). I guess the usage might be similar to the usage in French.
