Hi, I've raised an issue at Proof Assistants Meta about a user deleting his questions, perhaps after getting an answer. I'm not sure whether the same thing is happening here in Zulip or on Discourse. But maybe you should consider remove the user ability to delete their own posts?
Thanks!
I am not so sure what teachers say about this - they have a hard time coming up with new homework exercises every other year. So they might appreciate such deletions. I anyway always keep answers to things which look like homework as short as possible - say just give a small hint. It is not that bad if such hints are deleted.
Thanks for your input, I agree asking for hints is fine.
Still, I consider it as an abuse if one use the forum-like system (e.g. Zulip, StackOverflow, StackExchange) to benefit only himself/herself. People takes time and effort into answering your questions, thus leaving them as they are may help other people facing similar issues in the future.
This is my two cents. Generally, I don't have much input on this matter, but merely to raise an awareness and spark a discussion on it.
